Triangle ABC has side lengths 7, 24, and 25. Do the side lengths form a Pythagorean triple?

    According to the Pythagorean theorem:

    c² = a² + b²

    In a right triangle, the longest side is actually a hypotenuse: c = 25

    a = 7

    b = 24

    25² = 7² + 24²

    625 = 49 + 576

    625 = 625

    Therefore, the side lengths form a Pythagorean triple
