    a^2=b^2+c^2

    Where "a" is the hypotenuse, and "b" and "c" are the other sides of the right triangle.

    Then, you have:

    a=28 inches

    b=15 inches

    c^2=a^2-b^2

    c=√ (a^2-b^2)

    c=23.6

    Therefore, the answer is: 23.6 inches

    a) Taking 28 inches as a one the other sides that are smaller than the hypotenuse, you have:

    a=√ (b^2+c^2)

    a=31.8 inches
