Chale bought some packages of pens. He bought one package containing 5 pens and * n * packages containing two pens each. Which of the following expressions could be used to find the total number of pens that Chale bought?

    This is because you know how many packages of 5 pens he bought which is 1. So that stays the same. you are trying to figure out how many packages of 2 pens he bought so that is a variable. so to find the total number of pens it is 2n+5.
