    The cost of the fruit cups is:

    (5) * (0.75) = 3.75 $

    The cost of the pie is given by:

    C = 3.75 + 2.50

    C = 6.25 $

    The gain is given by the cost of sale minus the preparation cost:

    10.25 - 6.25 = 4 $

    After selling 10 pies the profit is:

    (4) * (10) = $ 40

    Answer:

    he earns $ 40 if he sells 10 pies
