The scale drawing of a rectangularh rug has dimensions 16 inches by 10 inches. The length of the longer side of the actual rug is 64 feet. Enter the area, in square feet, of the actual rug.

    The area would be 2560 square feet. This is because 16 is the longest side on the scale. So what you would do is 64 divided by 16, since those are both the longest sides, but on seperate representations. You end up with four, and multiply 4 by 10 because 4 is the scale factor. You end up with 40 and 64 as your sides, and you multiply those two to get the area of 2560 sq feet
