In the square pyramid shown below, the area of each triangle is 135 square meters and the area of the base is 324 square meters. What is the height of the pyramid?

    Since the base is a square of 324 meters, you can take the square root to get a length of 18 meters, that then makes up the base of the triangle for each side, and the area of a triangle is 1/2bh, so 324 = (1/2) (18) h, so the height of the triangle is 15 meters, to find the height of the pyramid, you use the Pythagorean theorem where on side is half the length of the base and the hypotenuse is the height of the triangle, so the height of the pyramid is about 18 meters
