What is the solution to the equation 4x + 2 (x - 3) = 3x + x - 12? / A - 3/B - 1/C 1/D 3

    Remember you can do anything to an equation as long asyou do it to both sides

    4x+2 (x-3) = 3x+x-12

    distribute and expand

    4x+2x-6=4x-12

    6x-6=4x-12

    minus 4x both sides

    2x-6=-12

    add 6 both sides

    2x=-6

    divide by 2

    x=-3

    A is the answer
