The current i in an electrical conductor varies inversely as the resistance r of the conductor. the current is 2 amperes when the resistance is 770 ohms. what is the current when the resistance is 808 ohms? round your answer to two decimal places if necessary.

    In an electrical circuit, the current (I) and resistance (R) are directly proportional through the equation,

    V = I x R

    where V is the potential difference. Having a constant potential difference for the two circuits,

    (2 A) x (770 ohms) = (I) x (808 ohms)

    Solving for I gives I = 1.906 A.
