The reciprocal of a number is one over that number. So for example the reciprocal of 6 is one over 6. Ex: 6 = 6/1; 3/8 = 8/3.

You'll know that the reciprocal will be more than 1. This means that the numerator (top number) will be more than the bottom number.

For example, 1/2. The reciprocal is 2/1. 2>1.

    394/900. The reciprocal is 900/394. 900>394.
