    Use the slope formula.

    m = slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

    m = (4 - 1) / (0 - (-1)) = 3/1 = 3

    The slope is 3 4-1 / 0 - (-1)

    The slope formula is (y_{2} - y_ {1}) / (x_{2} - x_{1})
