We have the original given function which is equal to F (x) = 1/x. If we shift the equation downwards, the function would become,

    F (x) - 2 = 1/x

Then, we transpose the number to the right-hand side of the equation giving us,

    F (x) = 1/x + 2

    Hence, our answer is F (x) = 1/x + 2.
