    Standard form is ax+by=c where a, b, and c are integers and a is usually positive

    y=300-5x

    add 5x to both sides

    5x+y=300

    that's standard form

    some people say standard form is ax+by+c=0

    in that case, it would be 5x+y-300=0

    y = 300 - 5x

    Standard form:

    ax + by = c

    y = 300 - 5x

    5x + y = 300

    Then to find the y-intercept, insert a 0 into the 'x'.

    5 (0) + y = 300

    y = 300

    The y-intercept is 300.

    To find the x-intercept, insert a 0 into the 'y'.

    5x + (0) = 300

    5x = 300

    x = 60

    The x-intercept is 60.
