Would 21i-42 be the answer to 7i (3+6i)

    Multiply the number outside of the parenthesis with the numbers inside the parenthesis

    Final Answer: 21i+42i^2

    No it wouldn't be the same because the 42 is multiplying a variable that is being squared while the 42 in the first equation is just a - 42. They don't match making the answer no.
