A cone has a diameter of 12 ft and a slant height of 20 ft. Explain whether tripling both dimensions would triple the surface area.

    Tripling both dimensions would NOT triple the surface area. If you triple both dimensions, then the surface area is 9 times as long as the surface area of original cone.
