Write a quadratic equation whose roots are 2 and - 1, and whose leading coefficient is 4

    (4x - 8) (x + 1) = 0

    If you equate each bracket to 0, it's roots will be 2 and - 1. Also, if you expand it, you will see that it will have a 4 in front of x^2, which is the 'leading coefficient'.
