The perimeter of a rectangular garden is 78 feet. The width is 11 feet shorter than the length. Write an equation to find the dimensions of the garden. Let x = width. Do not solve the equation.

    X = width

    x+11 = length

    perimeter of a rectangle = 2 (l+b)

    perimeter = 2 (x+x+11)

    2 (2x+11) = 178

    2x+11=89
