    Answer: 4 pieces of fruit are apples

    Step-by-step explanation:

    c+p+a=48

    to find out what part of all 48 peices are apples use equation

    1/4+2/3+a=1

    a=1-1/4-2/3

    a = (12-3-8) / 12

    a=1/12

    1/12 of 48 is:

    1/12*48=4
