    (x) = (x-7) (x-4)

    g (x) = x (2) + 7x - 2

Now find a common denominator. (x+10) (x-4) is a good one.

    x-16 / (x+10) (x-4) + x-4 / (x+10) (x-4)

    2x-20 / (x+10) (x-4)
