A sign at the store shows that nine shirts cost $72. Another sign shows that four pairs of pants cost $172. If each pair of pants costs the same amount, what is the cost of one pair of pants?

    The cost for one part of pants would be $43 and the reason for that is because if four pants cost $172 all you have to do is divide the cost by the amount of pants (172/4) it would equal 43. Which it's going to be $43 for one pair of pants
