    Larger number (y) is 39

    Smaller number (x) = 66 - 39 = 27.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let the smaller number be x and the larger number be y.

    Sum of two numbers = 66

    According to question,

    x + y = 66

    x = 66 - y ... (1)

    Now, since twice of smaller number is 15 more than the larger number, According to question,

    2 (smaller number) = larger number + 15

    2x = y + 15 ... (2)

    Now substituting the value of y from (1) in (2)

    2 (66 - y) = y + 15

    132 - 2y = y + 15

    -2y - y = - 132 + 15

    3y = 117

    y = 117/3 = 39

    So the largest number (y) is 39

    Smaller number (x) = 66 - 39 = 27.
