If f (x) = log 3 x, find f - 1 (x).

f - 1 (x) = 3 x

f - 1 (x) = x 3

f - 1 (x) = 3 y

    The first step is to let f (x) = y

    therefore y = Log into base 3 of x

    i. e x = 3^y, therefore to find f^-1 (x) just interchange the variable

    i. e f^-1 (x) = 3^x
