If you earn $308 for one weeks work, and for every 35 hours worked you get $7 and for anything over 35 hours worked you get $10.50, how many hours did you work in one week?

    Let t denote the overtime hours. Then you know that if the employee made more than 7*35=245, then they must've worked overtime.

    So 35*7 + 10.5*t = 308

    Solve for t and add it to 35 to get the total hours.
