    Given:

sketch of fountain. 1/4 yard tall.

actual fountain is 68 times as tall.

Find the actual height of the fountain.

We simply multiply 1/4 yard by 68

    1/4 * 68 = (1*68) / 4 = 68/4 = 17 yards.

The actual fountain will be 17 yards tall.

Assuming the 17 yards is given, and it must be sketched that is 68 times smaller, then we divide the actual fountain by 68.

    17 / 68 = 0.25 or 17/68 simplified to 1/4.
