30 gallons is the maximum capacity

    Step-by-step explanation:

40% is 12 gallons and add another 40% you get 24 gallons and if 12 gallons is 40% then split that half and you get 6 gallons 20% percent add 20% to the 80%. 12+12=24+6=30 gallons

    Answer: 30 gallons

    Step-by-step explanation:

So fist we add 40% and $40%. That's 80 percent of the tank which is 12 + 12 = 24. Then we figure out half of 40 percent which is 20 which means its 6 gallons. Now we add. 12+12+6 which equals our answer 30 gallons
