    total distance = 220 miles

    Step-by-step explanation:

    given data

    speed v1 = 60 miles per hour

    speed v2 = 50 miles per hour

    time t = 2 hours

    to find out

    total distance of Franny's trip

    solution

    we know distance = speed * time ... 1

    so

    distance d1 = 60 * 2 = 120 miles

    and

    distance d2 = 50 * 2 = 100 miles

    so

    total distance = d1 + d2

    total distance = 120 + 100

    total distance = 220 miles

    220 miles.

    Step-by-step explanation:

Distance travelled = speed * time

    Total distance travelled = 60 * 2 + 50*2

    = 120 + 100

    = 220 miles.
