U gotta combine like terms so. 2x + (-3x) would=-1x. then 6+9=15. so it would be simplified as - 1x+15

    You would use F. O. I. L

First terms, outer term, inner terms, last terms

    -5x^2-18x-18x+54

    -5x^2-36x+54
