In a clothes shop, jeans have a marked price of $30, but a sign says 'Two for $50 or

20% off the marked price'. What is the better deal if we want to buy two pairs?

    The price when using two for $50=$50

    the price when using 20% off the marked price=30*80%*2=$48

    as $48<$50

    so the better deal is 20%off the marked price
