    the regular payment is 6$ an hour.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    first, we determine how many hours were due to excess of the standars 40 hours, that was 50-40-4=6 hours. We can set then a simple equation where we will call x the regular hourly rate. Excess hours are paid 1.5x, sunday hours are paid 2x:

    40x+4 (2x) + 6 (1.5x) = 342

    40x+8x+9x=342

    57x=342

    x=342/57

    x=6
