A factory adds three red drops of paint and two blue drops to white paint to make each pint of purple paint. The factory will make 50 gallons of purple paint. How many drops of red and blue coloring will the factory need for the 50 gallon batch of purple paint?

    150 drops of red

    250 drops total

    Explanation:

    We multiply the amount of drops per batch by the amount of batches.

    50 times 3 = 150 (red)

    50 times 2 = 100 (blue)

    To get the total amount of drops you simply add them.
