How do you describe the expression 5 (x + 2) ?

    You distribute 5 (x+2). First you multiply 5*x which=5x, then you multiply 5*2 which=10. so then you have the expression 5x+10. you divide by five on both sides and then you get x=2. it gets easier once you get the hang of the concept
