Samara deposited $5,000 into an account and didn't make any more deposits. The interest rate is 12%. How much did she earn in interest after 6 years?

    First start with making the percentage a decimal. 12 divided by 100 = 0.12

    5000 times 0.12 = 600

    600 times 6 = 3600
