a bear was seen near a campground. searchers were dispatched to the region to find the bear. assume the bear can walk in any direction at a rate of 2 miles per hour. suppose the bear was last seen 4 hrs a go how large an area must the searchers cover?

    The area is be at least (because the bear could continue walking while the people start looking) 8 square miles, because 2 miles per hour, times, 4 hours of walking this fast is 8 miles. But because it is any direction it has to be squared (because you are finding area). - 8 miles^2
