Jim drank 2/5 of his water bottle and John drank 3/10 of his water bottle. How much did the both boys drink?

    To add fractions, the denominators should be the same. 2/5 is the same as 4/10 (if you multiply the numerator and denominator by 2). So 4/10 + 3/10 = 7/10.
