Expand the brackets.
-10x+-16 = 14+6x
-10x-16 = 14+6x
Add - 6x and 16 on both dies.
-10x-6x = 14+16
-16x = 30
Divide - 16 into both sides.
x = - 30/16

The solution for the equation is x = - 15/8
