X+2=x to the second power + 4 at x = 2

    No it doesn't.

    When x=2,

    x + 2 = 4

    and

    x² + 4 = 4 + 4 = 8

    If you want (x + 2) to be equal to (x² + 4),

    then

    either x = 0.5 + 1.323 i

    or

    x = 0.5 - 1.323 i. ' i ' = √-1

    There are no other ways to do it.
