parallel lines-Parallel lines are two lines that are always the same distance apart and never touch. In order for two lines to be parallel, they must be drawn in the same plane, a perfectly flat surface like a wall or sheet of paper ... Any line that has the same slope as the original will never intersect with it.
heres an example-Because the equations are written in slope-intercept form of, the coefficient of x is the slope of the lines. Since both Line A and B have a slope of 3, they have the same slope. We've discovered a relationship that is true for all parallel lines-lines are parallel if they have the same slope.
