    J+2k=-4

    j=-4-2k (1)

    3j-4k=3 (2)

    Substitue (1) in (2)

    3 (-4-2k) - 4k=3

    -12-6k-4k=3

    -10k=3+12

    k=-15/10 (3)

    Substitue (3) in (1)

    j=-4-2 (-15/10)

    j=-1

    Final answers j = - 1 and k = - 15/10
