Colin's swim team sells hot dogs for $3 to raise money for the team. The team spends $226 on hot dogs, hot dog buns, condiments, and paper supplies before each meet. If their goal is to raise at least $500 at each event, how many hot dogs does the team need to sell to reach their goal?

    Add to get the total for supplies and the amount they need to raise $226 + $500 = $726 then divide $726:3 = 242. They would have to sale 242 hot dogs to pay for supplies and to raise their goal of $500.
