    Step-by-step explanation:

    First we have to find the diameter of the semi-circle, to do that we take the longest length on the bottom and subtract the lengths on top of the rectangle to get 4. We then multiply 4 * 3.14 (for pi) and half it because it is a semi circle, this gives us 6.28 for the semi circle, then we add the area of the rectangle at the bottom, 14 cm^2 and get 20.28 cm^2!
