A population of dolphins has 400 individuals. after 20 years, this population has had 250 births and 170 deaths, so the population has grown to 480 individuals. what is the approximate yearly growth rate, r, of this population?

    According to the question

    N=Starting population 400

    I=annual population increase 4

    R = annual growth rate = ?

    Applying a formula:-

    I=Rn

    So, 4=r*400

    r = 4/400

    =0.01
