The area of a rectangle garden is 60ft^2. the length is an irrational number. explain why or why not the width must be a fraction, whole number, irrational number, or non-real number.

    Area of a rectangle is given by the formula length x width

    length x width = 60ft^2

    if the length is an irrational number then most likely the width can be one too

    for example

    length = 60^1/2

    then width must be 60^1/2

    since 60^1/2 * 60^1/2 = 60ft^2
