    4 students

    Step-by-step explanation:

Based on the previous data there were 12 students in total, 3 of them involved in wood shop elective. This would mean that 25% of all students were interested with wood shop elective since 3/12 is 1/4 (one out of every 4 students plan on taking wood shop)

If the same data holds up then for every 4 students out of the 16, one would be interested in wood shop elective. 16 * (.25) or 25% of 16 which is 4 since 4*4=16.
