    1. a=h (b+c)

    2. distribute the h:

    a=hb+hc

    3. move the 'hb' to the left:

    a - hb = hc

    4. subtract the a from both sides:

    -hb = hc - a

    5. divide both sides by - h to isolate b:

    b = - hc+a/h
