How do I solve 2 (4s-16) - 5s=-5

2 (4s-16) - 5s = - 5
(2*4s) - (2*16) - 5s = - 5
8s - 32 - 5s = - 5
3s - 32 = - 5
add 32 to both sides
3s = 27
divide both sides by 3
s = 9
