The length of a rectangle is 12 cm more than its breadth. If the perimeter is 48cm. What is its length and breadth?

    Perimeter is foumd by

    P=2 (a+b)

    P=2 (x+x+12)

    P=24+4x

    48=24+4x

    x=6

    and 6+12=18

    so you have a=6 and b=18
