For the first one we have
6/15=2-x/15
So subtract 2 from both sides
You should get 6/15-2=-x/15
Multiply by 15 and you get 6-30=-x
So - 24=-x we then have to multiply by - 1 straight across
So the answer to the first one is x=24
The second one we have 2/3+x/5=6
We want to get x by itself so we subtract 2/3 from both sides
So we now have x/5=6-2/3
Now we multiply by 5 on both sides
So we have x=30-10/3
We know 30 is the same as 30/1
So we multiply the top and bottom by 3 and get
90/3
Now we have x=90/3-10/3
So x=80/3
