A woman jogging at 6 mi/h passes a man biking in the opposite direction at 12 mi/h. If they maintain their speeds, how far from each other will they be 10 minutes after passing?

    I believe they would be 1.8 miles away from each other since for each hour, one moves 6 miles while the other moves 12 miles. When you divide 6 by 10 (0.6 and 12 by 10 (1.2), you'll get the distance of each other in ten minutes. Just combine them and you will get the answer: 1.8.
