A person 2.5 ft tall casts a shadow of 3 ft. How long is a shadow of a pole that is 6.7 ft tall?

    Height:shadow=2.5:3

    2.5/3=6.7/x

    cross multiply aka times both sides by 3x

    2.5x=20.1

    divide both sides by 2.5

    x=8.04

    answer is 8.04ft
