Can someone explain Constant of Proportionality?

    If a quantity x is proportional (directly) to another quantity y, then x is written as x = ky, where k is called the Constant of Proportionality

    If one variable is always the product of the other and a constant, the two are said to be directly proportional. X and y are directly proportional if the ratio yx is consistent.
