    Average speed=total distance / total time ...

    s=25/1.5=50/3mph (16 2/3 mph)

    So you traveled an average of 2/3 mph greater than your record pace ...

    Hello : 3

    d = rt or distance = rate times time. You want your answer in miles per hour so convert 90 minutes to 1.5 hours. Now plug in the values:

    25mi = r*1.5hrs.

    r = 25/1.5 = 16.667mph.

    This is greater than 16mph, so did you really break your record?
